Are You On A Tight Budget? How To Get Leads For Free Part #1

Did you raise your hand? You need more leads but you're short on cash to generate them?

Or... Maybe, you do have money, but why pay for something you can actually get for free! It's great to get leads from a PPC campaign, but there is also lots of ways to generate leads without having to spend lots of money.

I personally love this section and you will too ;) These strategies are free or have very low cost compared to a PPC campaign on Google Adwords. And we are going to get started with that now.

Ok, first I'll show you how to get traffic and leads using CraigList

CraigList is the world's largest website where you can post free ads in different cities in the United States or other important cities in the world.

The goal is to send people to your capture page and capture their info. In other words, get them as leads.

When you are at CraigList select the city where you are going to advertise. Then you'll need to pick a category where you'd like to advertise under.

When you are done with these steps, just click on "Post" link in the upper right hand corner of the page.

Ok, it's now time to start writing your ad. I suggest that you check other ads in the same category, and check what other people are writing, how they stucture their ads. Really study them. Then you'll get various ideas on what you can write. Read not 10 or 20 ads, read at least 50 or more.

Oh yeah, here are some tips that you'll want to consider:

- Whatever you say on your headline, be sure that it has relevancy with the content of it. Don't promise something and then don't deliver whatever it is you promised.

- Also, have a clear image of what kind of people you want to attract with your ad, and talk directly to them. Saying things like: "Make easy money, no effort" will attract lazy and opportunistic people. Ask yourself: Is THAT what I want? (Hope not!)

- Give valuable information, give them a taste of what you have to offer and make them want more when they are done reading. But keep the ad short and simple.

- Call to action: Tell them to go to a specific place. Your capture page; your website, so that you get their information.

Ok then, let's continue because we are not done yet.

Once you are done with your ad hit the Publish button at the top so your ad goes live.

Ok, here is the secret to CraigList. To get big traffic you'll want to advertise under a lot of cities. If you're advertising within the United States, you'll want to do it under 30 major cities or so.

But the thing is that, you can't simply copy/paste your ads. You have to change them and come up with new headlines and content. Otherwise it's considered SPAM.

It's very time consuming and the good news is that there is a way around it. You can download a software called CL Auto Posting Tool. It's not free, but you'll want to invest in it if you don't want to be posting all day on CraigList. There is a demo version if you wanna try it first though.

Now, getting back to the point. Craiglist is ranked the 60th most visited website by www.Alexa.com. Very powerful! But as I said before, the key to getting leads is by posting ads daily.
